HOYER Petrolog UK Ltd is a market leader in the transportation of bulk liquids, powders and gases by using a diverse range of transport methods.

Central to our success is our ability to develop bright and energetic graduates with a blend of skills, which will enable them to move into senior management positions within five years.

We are keen to recruit graduates onto our scheme who are interested in a career in Transport and may have gained industry experience elsewhere, ready for their first career move. Our current opportunity is within Transport Management, initially supporting our location transport management team, leading on to a role managing their own team within one of our fuel terminals.

Early on you will be given responsibility and accountability, which will increase as you demonstrate your abilities. You will gain experience in various locations across the UK before being assigned to a specific post in one of our UK operating divisions and, during the next five years, will experience working in a number of functions, receiving specific training to enable you to make a valuable contribution to the business.

To be successful at HOYER you need to possess a highly analytical mind and be comfortable with numbers, as detailed financial appraisal is an essential part of all our managerial positions. HOYER is a rapidly growing organisation that requires managers who have the drive and ability to not only challenge the status quo but also to drive through improvements. Working within a fast moving, dynamic environment, you will need to be flexible in your approach to work, whilst remaining focused on your key, longer term, objectives.

We look for individuals with an outgoing personality, who can demonstrate achievement in both academic study and extra-curricular activities, with an ability to influence others and work as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a strong determination to succeed in a demanding environment and be able to demonstrate potential business acumen and an ability to think on his/her feet.

Selection Criteria:                                                  

  • A-Level (good English/Maths)
  • 2:1 degree (preferably Business or Logistics)
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft packages)
  • Driving licence
  • Must be geographically mobile
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills

Following a pre-selection interview, graduates attend an Assessment Centre where they are given opportunity to demonstrate their strengths in a number of different assignments.
