HOYER Transport Operations & Support

With so many factors to consider in the smooth running of any transport and logistics operation, HOYER relies on the intellect, experience, hard work and commitment of staff in all support functions to ensure we continuously uphold excellent standards of customer service. These areas include:

- Huddersfield Control Centre – our transport, planning and dispatch centre of excellence

- Fleet Support Services

- Finance

- Human Resources

- Information Technology

These areas of our business help to support our operations to ensure that HOYER runs in a safe, effective and compliant way, making best use of the technology available to us.

We are always looking to recruit and develop committed people in our support functions who are enthusiastic about the industry and looking to make a difference.

New to the logistics industry?

No problem – many of our roles require a skill set that is transferable from other jobs and industries. We also have entry level positions where prior experience is desired but not essential, such as Customer Service Advisers and HCC Administrators in the Control Centre.

Keen to develop?

Joining Hoyer in an entry level role doesn’t limit your opportunities to develop within the business. We advertise all of our vacancies internally and promote from within the company wherever possible. We also run an Employee Development Program (EDP). Colleagues who gain a place on the programme from a non-driving role will be given the opportunity to spend 2 days at one of our terminals with our drivers, we will involve you in a project, provide you with internal and external training and agree an individual development plan. We also expect colleagues on the EDP to undertake an apprenticeship which is fully funded by the apprenticeship levy.
