Our Equipment - Foodlog

We have a wide variety of equipment deployed throughout europe which can cater for all foodgrade transport and logistics requirements

Road Tankers

Our 300-strong fleet of state-of-the-art, lightweight semi-trailers are on hand for the transportation of foodstuff products, from standard dedicated foodgrade road tankers for non-sensitive products, right through to multi-compartment trailers with bespoke heating systems to ensure that products are loaded, transported and delivered in accordance with demanding food quality standards and each vehicle is fitted with pumps and sterile filters.

Satellite tracking is used to ensure that delivery standards are met, and our detailed driver training programmes ensure that quality and product integrity is controlled throughout. Our sophisticated monitoring systems including “track and trace” technology ensure close control of the transport chain.

HOYER is the second largest tank container operator in the world with almost 600 of our modern tank containers used exclusively for the transportation of foodstuffs. The fleet meets the highest hygiene standards and holds all the required certificates and accreditations to ensure quality and safety for the demanding transportation of food products.

Our state-of-the-art equipment includes:

  • Good insulation
  • Steam heating
  • Sterile filters
  • Short outlets
  • High performance pumps
  • Heating options
  • Agitators

As part of this fleet we operate almost 22,000 IBCs which are dedicated to foodstuffs only.   IBCs can be rented for a period of a few days or leased for several years depending upon the customer’s needs. Our range includes:

  • Standard IBCs with a capacity of 1,000 litres for the transport of ethyl alcohol, (high quality) cooking oils, egg products and flavours
  • Insulated vessels with electrical heating – ideal for transporting and storing sensitive foods such as chocolate, edible fats, fat-based coatings and glucose
  • Aseptic IBCs available in 550, 800 or 1000 litre capacities. These IBCs are typically used for juices, sauces and marinades, fruit concentrates and dairy products.

Flexitanks are a safe and inexpensive alternative for transporting demanding bulk liquids such as foodstuffs and are available in sizes ranging from 16 to 24 m3 providing a significant improvement of volume per delivery compared to IBCs or drums.

Our flexitank containers have double-walled bulkheads and an improved shape. This reduces pressure on the doors and enables the flexitank to be installed more easily and safely, resulting in a more robust structure.

HOYER offers our customers a high quality 3D animated introduction to loading and unloading flexitanks. No matter what the quantity, technical assistance can be arranged at any time.
