HOYER Petrolog UK, sponsor of four-time champion Mat Summerfield, heads to British Truck Racing Championship at Donington

HOYER Petrolog UK, a sponsor of one of the UK’s leading truck racing drivers Mat Summerfield, is attending the next leg of the British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) at Donington (22-23 July). Mat Summerfield, winner of the BTRC four times in succession from 2012 to 2015, is currently lying in second place behind fellow MAN driver Ryan Smith in the battle for the 2017 Championship.

A team from HOYER is attending the championship to highlight the career opportunities offered by the company.

HOYER has run operations in the UK since 1974 and established itself as the market leader in nationwide fuel distribution with significant domestic and international operations for customers in the Bitumen, Chemicals, Foodstuffs and Airgas markets.

From its Head Office in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HOYER directs some 1450 people and 500 vehicles deployed across 35 locations throughout the UK.

Tania Cressey, Head of Human Resources for HOYER in the UK and Ireland said: “Attending the championships at Donington is a great opportunity to meet truck racing fans and talk to potential new recruits to the business. We are also proud to sponsor Mat Summerfield and will be supporting him all the way at what should be an exciting contest at Donington.”

HOYER currently has vacancies for LGV Class 1 drivers to work on its bulk fuels tanker business in 12 locations across the country.

Minimum requirements are a current LGV Class 1 Licence and two years Class 1 experience.  ADR/PDP are preferable but not essential as training will be given to enable successful candidates to gain these qualifications. Benefits of working with HOYER include extensive, ongoing training and competitive pay as well as great prospects for career progression in a global business.
