Message to all HOYER employees

Dear all,

We, along with the rest of the world, find ourselves in totally unprecedented modern times as a result of the now pandemic coronavirus (Covid-19) that is significantly disrupting lives, society in general, businesses and economic activity all across the country. It seems increasingly apparent that this emergency situation, which has not yet reached peak impact, is likely to continue for several months into the future and I know you will have lots to manage, in taking care of your loved ones and supporting friends and colleagues.

It is our role at Hoyer in the UK to continue, as our primary purpose states, to deliver fuel and other essential commodities that provide continuity to the lives of millions of people across the length and breadth of the Country that are relying on us. It is vitally important, now more than ever before, that we continue to do that, whilst safeguarding and minimising any risks to the health and wellbeing of all colleagues in our company.

This is a careful balance, especially since the majority of you do not have the option of working remotely from home.

I can see that all colleagues are working incredibly hard and professionally to keep our essential delivery service going, by turning up to work every day for our customers, despite these difficult and uncertain circumstances. We are going to need to continue doing this for many weeks to come and I want, even at this early stage, to say a big thank you and well done for everyone’s efforts so far and your dedication to the job. I also want to recognise your resilience in the face of very challenging, uncertain and fast changing times.

Your efforts are much appreciated.

Let’s stay safe and healthy as we help to keep the country going.

Best wishes,

Mark Binns
